Critics of prevailing wage laws use skewed numbers to dramatize to the public an unrealistic picture of prevailing wages and public construction when in fact, taking into account construction place injury and fatality records, availability of trained skilled workers, the enhanced welfare for the workers and their families, and tax revenues, prevailing wages become beneficial for all parties involved including tax payers…
